guerrilla lighting

guerrilla lighting gent

27 Jan ’12

This is probably the fastest we have ever posted images after the event!  Last night, as part of Licht Festival Gent, we took 50 people round the streets and lit some buildings and space.

It was a great atmosphere and the people who joined us were a lovely bunch!  We had a great time – thanks to everyone that joined us.

guerrilla lighting hits streatham…

18 Jan ’12

The London Borough of Lambeth held a Guerrilla Lighting event on Tuesday 13th December 2011 in Streatham as part of their Christmas season of events.

The reason behind the event was to illuminate a few of the architectural highlights in the area with a long term plan that the images could help gain funding for one of the sites to be lit permanently. Mostly one long high street with some famous art deco gems, the event went off the main route (in true guerrilla style) and focussed on some unknown buildings.

The route started with the Victorian Waterworks, followed by the memorial gardens, St Leonard’s Church and finished with the library.

The church was a project for the students of the Space and Architecture Course at Rose Bruford College and the students involved were team leaders on the other sites showing inhabitants of Streatham how to be an inner city Guerrilla.

Danish Lighting Society go Guerrilla!

17 Jan ’12

The Danish Lighting Society undertook the first Copenhagen Guerrilla Lighting on 15th November 2011 as a precursor to the Danish Lighting day – an annual conference and award ceremony.

Although bitterly cold and the night of a National Football game, hundreds of people turned out to see three sites transformed in the locale of the University and Jean Nouvels Concert Hall. Each site was designed by a different lighting practise and one site went out live on Danish National TV!

Check out site three for the bold use of props and light drawing!
